Vidya Balan took to Instagram to express her admiration for Mawra’s performance, calling the film a “beautiful love story” and saying she thoroughly enjoyed watching it in theaters. She went on to praise Mawra’s acting with the words: “Mawra! You are amazing.” In response, Mawra Hocane warmly thanked Vidya for her kind words.

Sanam Teri Kasam remains Mawra Hocane’s first and only Bollywood film. Afterward, she returned to Pakistani cinema with Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 before shifting her focus entirely to television. Interestingly, Mawra holds a law degree from the University of London but has set aside her legal career to pursue her passion for acting.
