Web Desk: After experimenting with AI-driven technology, YouTube has now made it incredibly easy to create Shorts. The company is integrating Google DeepMind’s AI video generation model, Veo 2, into YouTube Shorts. With this artificial intelligence (AI) technology, users will be able to create Shorts effortlessly using AI-powered tools like Veo 2 and Dream Screen, simply by providing text-based instructions.
Previously, Dream Screen was used in the first version of Veo for generating video backgrounds. However, Veo 2 is a more advanced model that allows users to create not only backgrounds but also characters and objects for their videos.
According to the company, this upgrade will significantly enhance Dream Screen’s speed and improve its ability to interpret text instructions, resulting in more realistic and lifelike videos. In simple terms, the generated visuals will closely resemble real-world scenarios, and the characters will appear more natural.
“Veo 2 model to significantly enhance Dream Screen, enabling users to create even more impressive YouTube Shorts“
Users can try the improved Dream Screen tool by opening the Shorts Camera, selecting the Green Screen option, and entering their desired prompt. Additionally, YouTube will provide an option to add AI-generated clips to existing Shorts. Once users click the Create button and input further instructions, Veo 2 will take care of the entire process, generating a Shorts video in just a few seconds.
YouTube first introduced the Dream Screen AI feature in 2023 to help users generate video backgrounds through text prompts. The company expects the Veo 2 model to significantly enhance Dream Screen, enabling users to create even more impressive video clips. These AI-generated clips will include a watermark indicating their origin.
This new feature is initially being launched in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, with plans to expand to other countries in the near future.
