Dubai (Web Desk): The excitement surrounding the Pakistan-India showdown in the ICC Champions Trophy has reached a fever pitch, as additional tickets for the Dubai match sold out in just 90 minutes.

Cricket fans are eagerly anticipating the high-stakes encounter between traditional rivals Pakistan and India, scheduled for February 23 in Dubai. Initially, the tickets for this much-anticipated clash sold out within an hour. Given the overwhelming demand, the ICC decided to release additional tickets.

As soon as the ICC made the announcement, cricket enthusiasts rushed to the website, causing a surge in traffic. The additional tickets were snapped up within just 90 minutes. According to foreign media reports, around 20,000 to 30,000 fans attempted to secure tickets online.

It is worth noting that the minimum price of a Champions Trophy ticket was set at 500 dirhams (approximately 38,000 Pakistani rupees), which fans eagerly purchased. The most expensive ticket for the Pakistan-India match was priced at 12,500 dirhams, and it too sold out quickly. Other ticket categories priced at 1,000, 1,200, 2,500, and 5,000 dirhams were also made available.

Meanwhile, the opening match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will take place in Karachi on February 19, where defending champions Pakistan will face New Zealand. On the other hand, India will begin their campaign against Bangladesh on February 20 before clashing with Pakistan on February 23.

As per the ICC’s announced hybrid model, India will play all its matches in the UAE, while the rest of the tournament’s fixtures will be held across three major Pakistani cities—Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi.
